Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 June 2026

LiteSiteis a UK-based studio that builds websites, software, and automations for small businesses. This policy explains what data we collect when you use this site or work with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've kept it in plain English on purpose.

What we collect

Contact details you give us. If you email us or book a consultation call, we receive what you provide — typically your name, email address, and whatever you tell us about your project. Bookings are handled through Microsoft Bookings, so the details you enter there are processed by Microsoft on our behalf.

Chat messages. The chat widget on this site is powered by Chatwoot. If you start a conversation, we receive the messages and any contact details you choose to share so we can reply.

Anonymous usage analytics. We use a self-hosted instance of Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand which pages are visited. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track you across other websites. The data stays on our own infrastructure.

What we use it for

To reply to your enquiries, run consultation calls, deliver projects we've agreed with you, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. That's it.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't run third-party ad tracking on this site, and we don't send marketing emails you didn't ask for.

Who processes data on our behalf

Microsoft (consultation bookings and email), Chatwoot (site chat), and the hosting providers that run this site and our self-hosted analytics. Each processes only what it needs to provide its service.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and chat history is kept for as long as we need it to work with you, then deleted. Records relating to paid work are kept for as long as UK tax and accounting rules require.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@litesite.uk and we'll sort it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Email info@litesite.uk.
